The Golden State Warriors defeated the New York Knicks 87-77 in the 2026 NBA Summer League at the Pavilion on Thursday. As a result, Golden State kept its playoff hopes alive with a wire-to-wire victory.

Warriors Control the Game Throughout

Golden State built a lead of up to 16 points during the contest and never trailed. Meanwhile, the Warriors shot 31.4% from beyond the arc, while limiting the Knicks to just 23.7% on three-point attempts. In addition, Golden State outscored New York 15-7 in second-chance points, which proved crucial in the final margin.

LJ Cryer led all Warriors scorers with 17 points. Graham Ike followed closely, contributing 15 points along with nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Malevy Leons added 13 points and six boards, and second-round pick Lajae Jones, selected in the 2026 NBA Draft, also finished with 13 points.

Knicks Struggle Despite Bench Production

On the other side, the Knicks’ top scorer came off the bench, as Jaden Akins poured in 21 points. However, the starters struggled to keep pace, even though Liam Robbins led them with 13 points and nine rebounds. Similarly, Tyler Nickel and Pacôme Dadiet each added nine points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Both teams will now wait to learn their Summer League postseason matchups. Currently, the Warriors sit in fourth place based on point differential, a position that would earn them a Semifinals berth if it holds through the remaining games.
