VR46 Racing Team Aragon GP Practice Puts Di Giannantonio Fourth
Fabio Di Giannantonio faced a rocky start to the weekend after crashing early in FP1, though he escaped without injury. Nevertheless, he quickly rebuilt his rhythm during the afternoon Practice session, sharpening his pace considerably. As a result, the Rome native clocked a best lap of 1’45.754, finishing the day in fourth place and locking in another direct Q2 berth. Di Giannantonio later explained that Friday’s crash was not the ideal start, though it offered useful data for the team to review. He added that once he returned to the bike in the afternoon, his feeling and rhythm came back, giving him good speed, pace, and time attack overall. Still, he acknowledged that rivals looked competitive, so the team would keep pushing to stay close to them.
VR46 Racing Team Aragon GP Effort Sees Morbidelli Reach Ninth
Meanwhile, Franco Morbidelli enjoyed a smooth Friday, opening with seventh place in FP1 before finishing Practice in ninth thanks to a 1’46.218 lap. Furthermore, he stayed inside the top ten throughout the afternoon session, reflecting steady progress both on track and in the garage. Morbidelli said afterward that Friday had been positive overall, particularly because the team had tried several setups and found strong pace at times. He added that Saturday’s priority would be consolidating that pace and sharpening the time attack further, while noting that a direct Q2 spot already gives the team a solid platform for the rest of the weekend.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team returns to action on Saturday, with Qualifying beginning at 10:50 local time, followed by the Sprint race at 15:00. The Aragon GP then concludes on Sunday with the main race starting at 14:00 local time.
