History was made at the Balaton Park Circuit as Marc Marquez crossed the line to claim his 100th motorcycle Grand Prix victory, joining Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi as the only riders to reach that milestone.

It was not a straightforward afternoon for the Ducati Lenovo factory rider. A chaotic multi-bike crash at turn one eliminated Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez, and Fermin Aldeguer from contention. Martin locked the front brake and slid into the pack, triggering the carnage. Fabio Di Giannantonio also went down but remounted to continue.

With the championship standings reshaped in a single corner, Marquez and Pedro Acosta found themselves racing in a world of their own. Acosta seized the lead through the middle stint and the two traded fastest laps in a compelling duel. On lap 14, Marquez attacked only for Acosta to fight back and block him through the final corner. One lap later, Marquez made a cleaner move, pulled 1.3 seconds clear, and never looked back.

Acosta took second, while Francesco Bagnaia finished 5 seconds adrift in third for his third consecutive podium.

Di Giannantonio holds third in the standings on 138 points, but his lead over Acosta has shrunk to just 6 points. The title fight is wide open heading to the Czech Grand Prix in Brno in two weeks.
