Can VR46's Di Giannantonio Keep His Championship Charge Alive at Le Mans?

Le Mans is one of MotoGP’s most iconic venues — and for Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, it’s a circuit that holds special meaning. The team claimed victory here in 2023, and they’re back in 2026 with momentum on their side.

Di Giannantonio arrives in France third in the championship with 71 points, fresh off his second podium of the season in Jerez. He knows this track well — he won here in Moto3 back in 2017 — and he’s not here just to compete.

Morbidelli is riding his own wave of confidence after a Sprint podium in Jerez, his first top three of the season. The Italian-Brazilian rider has history at Le Mans too, winning here in Moto2 in 2017, and he arrives hungry to build on that result.

Rain is forecast for the weekend — but neither rider is worried. Free practice begins Friday, with qualifying at 10:50 and the Sprint at 15:00 on Saturday. Sunday’s main race starts at 14:00.
