Fabio Di Giannantonio delivered a solid performance for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team during a demanding Aragon GP weekend. Starting from the third row, he held his position and pushed closer to the group fighting for the podium. Consequently, his consistent pace let him defend seventh place with determination through to the finish. As a result, the Rome-born rider crossed the line in seventh, confirming the reliability he has shown throughout the season. Thanks to this result, Di Giannantonio climbed back to fourth place in the World Championship standings with 208 points, sitting 48 points behind the leader and 24 points from the top three. Afterward, he explained that the team expected to struggle over the weekend, especially following Saturday’s sprint crash, yet everyone kept working and ultimately valued finishing the race and collecting valuable points above all else.

Meanwhile, Franco Morbidelli endured a tougher Sunday. He started well from the fourth row and quickly joined the battle for a Top10 finish, and his strong pace kept him within the leading group of ten riders. However, misfortune struck when he crashed at Turn 17 on lap six while running tenth, though he escaped without injury. Afterward, Morbidelli noted that he felt considerably better than during Saturday’s sprint and believed he could have finished as high as seventh, which he viewed as a genuinely positive sign. He now sits sixteenth in the World Standing with 53 points. Meanwhile, team manager Pablo Nieto acknowledged that the weekend proved more complicated than usual, though he pointed to fourth place in the standings and Morbidelli’s continued progress in Qualifying as reasons for optimism, adding that the team must now focus on understanding what happened this weekend before heading into the home round.
Overall, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team now turns its attention to the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini GP, which takes place at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” from 11th to 13th September.
